How we write, check and correct the articles in AI News. They're written for owners and managers of small businesses, in plain English.
Who writes and reviews
Every article is bylined to our founder, who reviews, edits and publishes each one personally. Nothing goes on the site, in the feed or in an email until a person has read it against its sources and pressed Publish. You can read about who we are on the About page.
How we use AI
We use AI to help draft, and we say so on every article.
- Drafts only. Each Monday an AI model reads the week's headlines (the headline, the outlet and the date, never the publisher's article text) and proposes two or three drafts: a weekly breakdown of the story that matters most, a scam or fraud alert when there's a relevant story, and an explainer. Each draft suggests one of our own pages for further reading.
- The [CHECK] gate. The model hasn't read the articles behind the headlines, so it's told not to state any detail it can't know (numbers, prices, dates, quotes, features or availability). Wherever a draft needs one, it writes a note like
[CHECK: what to confirm]. An article can't be published while any[CHECK]note is left: our system refuses it. Each one is confirmed from the source and replaced with the real detail, or the sentence is cut. - No auto-publishing. No article is ever published by a schedule or a model. Drafts nobody approves are skipped.
- Our own words. We write about the news in our own words and never copy a publisher's article. We don't claim to have tested a product unless we have.
Sources
Every article names the stories it's based on and links to them, so you can read the original. Headlines and links belong to their publishers. We prefer the company's own announcement, official notices from regulators and law enforcement, and established news outlets.
What's free and what's for members
Every article is free to read in full. AI News Insider members also get "Our take" on each story (what we'd do about it if it were our business), a members' email every Friday, and early access: some articles reach members up to two days before they're public. Members never get different facts, only our opinion and timing.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it and add a dated note at the end of the article saying what changed. We don't quietly rewrite facts. To report an error, email hello@openarmsolutions.com with the article's link and what's wrong; we reply within two business days.
Independence
We don't accept payment, free products or gifts for coverage, and articles carry no advertising or affiliate links. When an article mentions one of our own services, demos or courses, it's labelled "Related". AI News is general information about public news, not legal, financial or security advice for your situation.
